Irene Ebersohl

	Irene Ebersohl, 84, of Elkville, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2000 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
	Irene was a homemaker and had worked as a nurses aid at the Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis.  She was a member of DeSoto Lutheran Church.
	She was born August 6, 1915 at Cambria, the daughter of Thomas G. and Elnora (Webb) Sills.  She married Homer L. Ebersohl on April 6, 1935 at Murphysboro and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1984.
	She is survived by four sons, Charles Ebersohl of Barstow, CA, Richard Ebersohl of New Douglas, IL, Ronald Ebersohl of Elkville and John Ebersohl of Booneville, IN; two brothers, Earl Sills of Elkville and Thomas Sills of DuQuoin; 23 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 26 step-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Mary Jane Hoggard; one brother, Homer and two sisters, Isabelle and Pearl.
	Funeral services were Friday, February 25 at 11 a.m. at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Percy Pavloff officiating.
	Friends were able to call from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.
	Interment was in the Indian Hill Cemetery at DeSoto.
	Friends may make memorials to the TIP Hospice.
